Accessibility Statement
Effective August 2026.
Our commitment
Pravah Collective is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability, assistive technology, or device. We treat accessibility as an operating standard rather than a compliance exercise. Where we fall short we want to know, and we will fix it.
The standard we work to
This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, at Level AA. This is a self assessed conformance claim based on our own testing rather than an audit by an outside party.
In practice that means:
- every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order
- focus is always visible, so keyboard users can see where they are
- headings, landmarks, lists, and labels are marked up semantically, so screen readers can navigate by structure
- text alternatives are provided for images that carry meaning, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
- text and background colours meet the contrast ratios required at Level AA
- text can be resized substantially without loss of content or function, and layouts reflow rather than requiring horizontal scrolling
- animation is subtle, never flashes, and is disabled entirely when the operating system requests reduced motion
Tools built into this site
The accessibility button in the lower corner of every page opens a panel of display controls, grouped into five sections.
Content
Increase text size in two steps, widen letter spacing, open up line height, and switch to either a dyslexia friendly typeface or a plainer sans serif.
Visual
Switch to a high contrast scheme or a dark scheme, reduce or remove colour saturation, underline every link so links are identifiable without relying on colour, and hide decorative imagery to reduce visual noise.
Orient
Disable animation and motion effects, enlarge the cursor, turn on a reading guide that follows your pointer across the line you are reading, and strengthen the focus outline.
Navigate
A plain explanation of how to move around the site using only a keyboard.
Report
Direct links to this statement and to the contact form for reporting a problem.
Your choices are saved on your own device and applied automatically on your next visit. They are never transmitted to us. The site also honours the reduced motion setting in your operating system automatically, whether or not you ever open the panel.
How we test
We test with keyboard only navigation, with browser zoom and increased text size, with automated accessibility tooling, and by manual review of markup and contrast. Automated tools catch only a portion of real problems, so we do not treat a clean automated result as sufficient on its own.
Known limitations
Some content we link to is outside our direct control, including our hotel websites and the reservation systems they use. We raise accessibility issues with those providers when we find them, but we cannot guarantee their conformance. If you hit a barrier on one of those systems, tell us anyway, because we would rather help you directly than leave you stuck.
The dyslexia friendly typeface option uses fonts already present on most devices rather than downloading a specialist typeface. On an unusual device the result may differ from what you expect.
Reporting a barrier
If you cannot access something on this site, we want to hear about it. Use the contact form and include the address of the page and a short description of what happened. We aim to respond within two business days, and while we work on a fix we will get you the information you were looking for by another means.
Accessibility at our properties
Questions about physical accessibility at a hotel, including accessible rooms, parking, entrances, bathrooms, and routes through the property, should go to that hotel directly. The team on site can confirm current availability and give you accurate detail for your dates, which is something this site cannot do.
